Description

Thralls are skeletons with glowing blue eyes; many of them wear black, partially weathered body armor and wield broken swords, but some of them wear nothing at all and wield only bones as weapons. Creatures that sleep anywhere in the Dreadwood carries the risk of drawing her attention, meaning that the sleeper may experience horrible dreams that leave them marked by her. Such marked beings are easier for denizens of the Dreadwood to seek out and strike while also knowing the person's name and personal details, all while coaxing them to journey deeper into the forest to serve their mistress. The normal range of bright light beyond that range is reduced to dim light while dim light is reduced to darkness.

Volo's Guide to Monsters lists Death, Prophecy, and Nature, but you can pretty easily make more and change the coven spells to fit the theme, perhaps borrowing themes from Cleric Domains. The interior is filled with mirrors and other reflective surfaces for magical use, defenses, and her own vanity. Beginning life as a green hag, she was known to be more personable than her sisters as well as wise, leading her to being accepted in various fey courts as an advisor. Thralls are only capable of slowly towards their targets and striking at them with the bones in their hands, dealing 1 heart (2 HP) of damage with each strike; occasionally, they may wield broken swords, allowing them to deal 3 hearts (6 HP) of damage. The orcs are a faction in Raid: Shadow Legends and they comprise some great champions like iron Brago, seer and Kreela witch-arm. We find Deadwood well on its way to gentrification, a far cry from the rough-as-guts encampment that greeted us in 2004, caked in shit and blood.

Though many of us here are authors, if the Blighted Lords and Ladies allow us to bring information out and publish it, they are allowing us to work as a channel for the current as a whole. The Dreadwood is home to many different types of creature, the foremost being the terrifying Granny Nightshade.and gives you access to a vast library of incredible films and shows, like The Ocean’s series, Argo, Raised by Wolves, and The Flight Attendant. Thanks for reading, hope it helps, and let me know how you used the Dreadwood in your game or ask any questions you may have!

Reddit and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to provide you with a better experience. Over 170 individual rites are explained; each pertaining to the ferocity and mastery of all of the Spirits and Demons who make up the hierarchy of Maergzjirah. She'd begun to fashion herself after the Dark Lady, becoming a lesser, but learning, version of her. Much of what is found within these pages is considered black magick, with an unapologetic focus on destruction, curses, and rites to control others.Undead creatures and villainous monsters that seek to tap into the shadowy power of that realm thrive deep in the forest. Duskur offered a squad of devils to Cegilune to trade for the hag, which the demi-power agreed to with suspicion. I wanted to do something different than the NPC posts, but I'm certainly open to changing things for the next posts. The Dreadwood is the realm of Granny Nightshade (my post on her here), an ancient and very powerful night hag whose base is Castle Spiral deep in the heart of the forest acting as a planar gate to the Shadowfell. A born renegade, he was expelled from Yale Law School for shooting out a police siren, suffered a heart attack while arguing with actor David Caruso while filming NYPD Blue and is a recovering heroin and gambling addict.

While tolerating this more than her natural appearance, many of the fey courtiers and archfey teased her and played cruel jokes and pranks to unmask her, and the hag found that her position as advisor had been changed into a court jester.

To address the elephant in the room, yes, "Granny Nightshade" is present with a statblock in the book The Wild Beyond Witchlight, but I'm certainly not a fan of that statblock representing Granny Nightshade, or at least the one detailed in Ghosts of Saltmarsh.
