SYSTM has been a relatively recent project for Wahoo and they are definitely, currently working to add much more to it. Expect it to get even better. So far so good, but the flipside to this is that when riding in erg mode and doing a session such as 20/40s or 10x1min – anything where there’s a big power differential – you can quietly easily end up in something of a ‘death spiral’ of ever increasing resistance as you struggle to spin your legs up to speed. My strength (power) is up theoretically – I’ve finished quite well in comparison to previous years in local outdoor racing events. Example: 10th/1300 placing at Chequamegon Fat Tire 40 in Wisconsin. yes, I tooted my own horn but this is for context only as I know I’m getting stronger year to year.

ANT+ FE-C Control: This is for controlling the trainer via ANT+ from apps and head units. Read tons about it here. You also can’t easily fold the legs away for storage – something to consider if you’re not able to leave your indoor trainer setup at home. Cons - it will walk out of its rubber feet on the rear legs (annoys me more than it should), it will experience power drift using its onboard power numbers far more frequently than the Hammer.
