Ladies and gentlemen we are stopping our usually broadcasted review to bring the news that Daughter of Paper and Stone is tired of trying to form coherent thoughts and is just going to leave very specific reactions to the horrific book up ahead. Be warned that some of the contents may make people implore with the outrage that she did as well. But beyond that I wonder what is going through the authors mind… maybe she will give him a character development? I could get behind that. in reality, you get the cringiest...no *creepiest* romance?? between our two main characters, wren and crew. Even the older girls, the upperclassmen, were drawn to her. Completely captivated by a seemingly innocent green-eyed girl who has barely spoken ten words to me in the entirety of her time here. wren’s entire personality is being a virgin. she is a high school girl who is infantilized by everyone around her, and the author intentionally slut shames every other girl to get this point across.

Him pining for her since the moment he saw her was standard but when he went all out with her bday/Christmas gifts????? My material girl heart grew ten sizes 🥹🥹 he def won me over by the end. The fact that he never gave up made me love him more. He took her leaving as incentive to prove himself to her and I loveeddddd this. stalks wren by going to an art show she was supposed to attend with her family, but they ditched her, so he gives her company instead, and urges her to be confident and buy a painting she likes. Leyes Del Poder is one of the best non-fiction books which was originally published in 1998. 48 Leyes Del Poder is written by Robert Greene who is a well-established American author. Robert Greene has completed his education at the University of California, Berkeley, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. There... it's a coming-of-age story, especially for our girl wren, who throughout this book goes on a journey of liberating herself sexually and breaking out of the box she has put herself in her whole life, and the boy, crew, who helps her accept herself. PROS: ̶c̶r̶e̶w̶ ̶a̶n̶d̶ ̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶h̶u̶g̶e̶ I meant the characters and their development. Really beautifully written.

FINAL THOUGHTS: If you aren't running to read this right now, what are you doing? I'm so glad this is the first work of hers that I've read because I cannot wait to read more!! It did not improve through out the book. In fact I’m pretty sure all Crew and Wren had were sexual chemistry based on him being “bad” and her being untouched so he could “corrupt her” 🤮.
