Challinor moved into coaching after retiring and led GB to triumph in France. He died of cancer in 1976 aged just 42. Peacefully on 2nd November 2021 whilst in the care of Rivaelin Care Home, Cleethorpes, John sadly passed away aged 91 years. A service to celebrate John's life will be held at St Peter's Church, Humberston on Tuesday 16th November 2021 at 2:30pm, followed by a private family committal at Grimsby Crematorium.
