The only thing which I can think of why not to buy this card, is if you have a small or medium sized case, as this card is huge measuring 35cm long. I have a Coolermaster HAF 912, which easily fit this card in and I had no issues with the 16 pin plug cable bending. Asus supply you with a quality made connector which uses three 8 pin plugs from your PSU. I have a Be Quiet PSU installed so bought their own version, which uses only two 8 pin plugs and reduces the amount of cables on show.
Having bought this car, it installed straight away and Nvidia's software ran perfectly fine, (after removing AMD software), and it runs all my games flat out on full settings. On a casual day of use, including Chrome, Photoshop and some Spotify listening, the efficiency cores aren’t really doing that much, as I make it through from 9 a.m. to roughly 1 p.m. before I need to plug in or lose my work. That’s considerably longer than my past experiences with gaming laptops, and I’m fairly confident you’ll see that reflected in the impending results. The minimum power required for a RTX 4080 16GB is 750W, although we recommend a higher wattage PSU for comfortable overhead. RTX 4080's are very power efficient and you will get away with a 850w PSU. This card in particular draws a lot less than my AMD card did when gaming (65+w less). VideoCardz has never been sponsored by AMD, Intel, or NVIDIA. Users claiming otherwise will be banned.
