In March 2016, Sony announced that instead, it would be forming a new company, "Forward Works", and be instead concentrating on bringing PlayStation-based games to mobile platforms like iOS and Android.

The PlayStation TV is a non-portable variant of the Vita; instead of featuring its own display screen like a handheld video game console, it connects to a television via HDMI like a traditional home video game console, and is controlled though the use of a DualShock 3 or DualShock 4 controller. This is all besides Remote Play, backward compatibility, and minimal stick drift on the original 1000 series Vita. Console is in good overall condition with some light scratches around the console, mainly to the rear as pictured. Whilst certainly an upgrade, gamers were keen to point out that the PS Vita launched with an OLED screen, which makes Nintendo's reveal that much more underwhelming. Now everything else is great, the battery is as good as a brand new unit (maybe it is a new battery) Wifi signal is strong.Both Vita generations have quad-core Cortex-A9 processors, 512MB of RAM and 128MB of discrete video RAM. A higher pixel density translates into more clarity and sharpness for the images rendered on the screen, thus improving the quality of the viewing experience.

I'm still of the opinion that Persona 5 Royal would have been a handheld port if the Vita, or a successor system, was alive and well. I was hoping for a Switch port, but Vanillaware seems to only be interested in supporting Playstation hardware, so with Sony going full home console.
