Description

Gabriel and Julia are learning to navigate life as new parents while still pursuing their academic and career goals. Although, this book did not have me flipping the pages as fast as the earlier books, I still enjoyed this one. But it would not be fair for this book if I didn’t mention how Sylvain Reynard stayed true to his characters!

Unlike the earlier books, it is not individuals who are obstacles to Gabriel and Julianne's happily ever after. I was completely absorbed from the first book than I came across and ever since – HOOKED completely. I mean there were times when I wanted to bang their heads together for trying to protect each other and not talking and causing a bigger problem but we are all guilty of that in relationships sometimes. SR takes his time to lay the plot but keeps us in suspense until the end, leaving us at the end with desires to know more. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.Gabriel’s Inferno was the beginning of a series that changed my vision of life and transformed me in ways that I never thought any story could. Like each of the novels from the Gabriel Series, the author pays tribute to the Renaissance poet, Dante Alighieri with reference to both The Divine Comedy and La Vita Nuova. Debo admitir que me sorprendió mucho cuando me enteré de esta cuarta parte porque había pensado que el último libro iba a ser 'La redención de Gabriel' pero me gustó, no me fascinó como los otros libros pero me entretuvo. Truly melt by the end of the book you are just a pile of goo from all the sweet and precious moments between Gabriel and Clare.

If not, however, I think it's best if readers just stop after the third book and skip this one entirely. like Katherine, Richard, and Rachel but definitely Clare is the one who takes the whole attention of the book.

Although it’s paranormal romance, Sylvain Reynard’s poetic and romantic style is present from start to finish. I felt like I had to constantly skip over long speeches of someone quoting Dante for minutes on end. His narration was excellent, and his interpretation of Professor Emerson, Julia and all the other characters we know and love was both excellent and true to the first 3 books. Yes, we read books to escape to fantasy worlds where everything is perfect and, for most of us, stories lead to happy endings. Gabriel's Promise is the fourth installment in the Gabriel's Inferno series and it was full of emotion.
