Started to assemble the slipper clutch this morning and I might get the updated pads from the Scorpion. Is an option and seems to make sense with my planed motor setup.

The Dirt Master is basically an RB5 from a geometry POV. So this makes a close equivalent to the RC10B4 from Associated or a TRF201. Gearbox is equipped with slipper clutch to protect the gearbox and drive system from sudden load changes such as jump landings. Easy to adjust and adaptable to various racing conditions. Upgrade with optional slipper pad (SCW021 HD) for compatibility with higher power and hard driving. The front skid on the carbon chassis improves clearance over surface gaps while front caster angle setting optimizes handling characteristics. Plan is to use Kyosho's Le Mans 240S 15.5T 4WD brushless motor and Kyosho's 60 amp ESC, a combo I am already using in a re-release Javelin and a Turbo Scorpion. The Turbo Scorpion has a top speed of over 37mph (60km/h) on 3S Lipo. In wet weather on 2S, it provides a top speed of about 25mph (40km/h). Both re-release buggies are fitted with front and rear sway bars, providing improved cornering.

ACCESSORIES

Toe angle settings on the rear hub carriers can be set to 1.0°, 2.0°, 2.5°by replacing resin bushings. Detailed settings can be adjusted according to the specific racing conditions. These are the classic Kyosho electric buggies originally designed by Akira Kogawa according to what I could find online (years may be wrong): Special carbon main chassis with skid angle in the front! New updates for a screw fixture battery holder and servo mount. i do not or will not race the Ultima or my Optima just to go out and play a little bit the motors I have are brushed motors and are old but still work they have all been rebuilt many times! From what i have read between brushed and brushless the brushless motors

Polycarbonate rear wing and side plates have been recreated as per the original JJ specifications. The large side plates deliver improved stability to fully recreate the style and drive feeling of the original. I have two 30 plus year old Kyosho RC cars one is an Optima that was a chain drive that has been swapped over to a belt drive, and a Ultima that has a graphite chassis with a front red aluminum nose piece that the front steering is screwed onto. Body from the Tomahawk is included, which is as per the World Champion machine. Original as well as commemorative decals are also included.is that aluminum chassis heavier then this pro graphite Chassis or is it better then the graphite ? does it use the same body as the ultima pro?? What with all of the rumours of Kyosho restructuring and the possibility of the Legendary Series being scrapped, I feared that the Turbo Optima would be the last one that we would see. For me this is more of a resto for both the ultima and optima but both a playable resto trying to digest all the new stuff

The electrics F bag. The final stage of the built is to add electrics and the wheels and body which are waiting to be mounted. Included motor guard (was only available as optional upgrade on the original ULTIMA) is made from A6061T6 material and delivers increased durability. Resin wing mount provides choice of 2 height settings and angle can be set between 3 ° - 6 ° with shims. Previously made from polycarbonate, the resin wing delivers improved crash resistance. In addition to white, there are 5 color options to add extra style to your machine.

BATTERIES

The gear box UT002 is the same gear box that I currently have in my Ultima and i have a spare gear box I just found in the old parts box so from the list I got from here http://www.kyosho.com/jpn/support/instr ... A_spop.pdf I have seen some very nice picture of old Kyosho cars on this forum and that is what I am aiming for with my cars!!! Maybe one day I will get a grandson that is not destructible as my sons were well still are, and I can pass these cars to him one day These days I started with a DT-03, and may end up at a Dirt master. I still play Battletech, on the computer. Oh yeah and I have a wife...

Equipped with the same body used on the Tomahawk 2WD buggy, just like the original. Silver & pink stripe decals with a variety of logos recreate the signature color scheme of the Joel Johnson Spec. Side mirrors from the original have also been recreated. The car was driven by the Norwegian Eivind Loyd Pettersen, at the time the owner of the Norwegian Serpent, Basilisk, Tomo, CRP, Thorpe, Mirage, JG and Associated distributor. Jay Halsey came in a very close second with his RC10. So though the Scorpion was outdated at the time the RC10 was released, it still had a chance in the hands of talented mechanics and drivers for some time. So how big of a problem would it be to do this Aluminum chassis and do i understand this right if going to a brushless motor a new trans would be needed? if so what would be needed for the trans?? it is just the internal parts to build the re release trans right??? I am not trying to be a pain about this just clarification please Each component has been faithfully designed and manufactured based on the specifications of the championship winning machine.Equipped with +2mm offset rear wheel hub. Wide tread setting is available when combined with the included 1mm spacers. ULTIMA has been faithfully recreated, with component upgrades for compatibility with modern power sources. For me, it would be history kinda repeating itself. In the 80's I started with a Hornet, and eventually I got an Ultima Pro, but about the same time Teenager years were drawing my attention elsewhere. You know, Battletech. GIANT STOMPY ROBOTS. Oh yeah girls and cars, but GIANT STOMPY ROBOTS.
