About this deal

Final Offer takes the second-chance love and small-town romance tropes and creates a really beautiful and heartwarming story that’s genuinely sweet and emotional. It’s a lot more touching than the other two books and although it contains Asher’s trademark sprinkling of spice, it’s actually pretty adorable. To receive my inheritance, I was tasked with spending a summer at the family lake house before selling it.

I did feel like there were a few pacing issues. The middle part seemed to drag on and then the ending was over in a flash. There were also a lot of huge events that were glossed over in the epilogue that left me feeling a little blindsided. Now on to Lana... Omg, where do I even start with her. Certain parts of the book I really enjoyed Lana and love her personality, but at some moments and chapters I couldn't get with her and it also made me not want to finish the book. I get that Lana has trust issues and she doesn't want to trust Cal or let him in; even when he's trying his hardest to be the best and to be sober for her too. It gets to a point where you have to stop and think it through. Like when she eavesdropping (she doesn't mean to do it intentionally, it just happens) and she finds out about inheritance and the will. She shuts Cal all the way out and puts up this guard. Now I understand her reason for being mad and upset, but at the same time to understand what's going on you have to talk with your SO and understand why they're doing what they did. At times it made me feel like Lana doesn't want to trust Cal and she doesn't care for him like that. But towards the end of the book she finally let her guard down and let Cal in. The Dreamland Billionaires series has been one that I had wholeheartedly enjoyed. I read Fine Print a few years ago, and love the relationship between Zahra and Rowan. I waited months for Terms and Conditions to be released and went in with so many expectations and ideas about how I wanted the book to go. And although I enjoyed it, my expectations had not been met. I did however love how the Kane family reunited and interacted throughout the book. It gave me all the warm and fuzzy feelings to see all three brothers conquer their demons and create the family they deserved. Lauren Asher: Time really does fly when you’re having fun because it feels like I just published Throttled last month rather than three years ago. My love for romance books and my interest in Formula 1 was one of the biggest motivators I had for writing a book of my own. I’ve read so many sports romances over the years, and I really wanted to take a chance on creating my own racing world that focused on glitz, glam, and romance.

Culturess: Without giving away any details about Final Offer, I will say that it’s unlike the previous two installments in the series. Did you always know that was how Cal’s story was going to be? Perfect for fans of Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score and It Happened One Summer by Tessa Bailey. To me, there is something so comforting about these books. Even though most of the series follows some harder topics and characters dealing with hard truths, the romances are great and the cast of characters is lovable. That’s why when I was given the opportunity to talk to Lauren, I couldn’t say no.

For the final book – Final Offer, I tried to keep my expectations low. Even with low expectations, I finished reading the book and felt a little disappointment. Final Offer wasn’t a terrible book; however, for a book ending this trilogy I expected it to go out with a bang. Cal is strong and he knows his addiction has to be handled and managed and eventually he does go to rehab. Now this is the point I want to clarify why I didn't award this as a five star book. If you’re getting excited about Final Offer or just want to know more about Lauren Asher, then our Q&A is exactly the treat you need before Final Offer comes out. Lauren Asher talks about Final Offer, inspiration, and more in our interview. All I can say is CALLAHAN PERCIVAL KANE. Like don’t get me wrong, I love Declan and Rowan, but I knew that Cal would be my favorite Kane brother since we saw so much of him in Terms and Conditions. And Lana, as Cal calls her, is one of the strongest characters Lauren has written till the date. She’s an incredible woman, who’s so selfless, caring and loving, and that has been through a lot throughout her life. She’s an amazing person, who's willing to sacrifice herself to see the people she loves happy, especially when it comes to her daughter, Cami—who honestly, is a highlight and the star of the book. The mother-daughter relationship between them and how much they care for each other is beautiful. I'm the Kane brother everyone gossips about -trust fund brat,washed-up athlete,high-functioning alcoholic... No one knows the real me but her. Lana Castillo - my childhood best friend and the only woman I ever loved, until I broke her heart six years ago. But now, my grandfather's will changes everything. To receive my inheritance, I was tasked with spending a summer at the family lake house before selling it.Turns out Lana doesn't just live at the house, but she claims to own it too.

Culturess: Your upcoming release is Final Offer which is book 3 in your Dreamland Billionaires series so I have to ask are you a Disney fan and if so, what inspired you to write a series centered around a similar establishment? Lauren Asher: I grew up in Florida, so visiting theme parks with family during holiday breaks was always a fun idea. While I’m a fan of Disney World, as I got older, I ended up really loving Islands of Adventure because of the rides. Always having an imaginative streak, Lauren Asher would focus on her love of reading and writing from a very early age. This passion of hers would develop over time, allowing her to essentially become the full-time novelist she’d always wanted to become. Refining and honing her craft throughout the intervening years, she’d come to establish her own unique voice with its distinct style and tone. Even the addition of a cute child and an overbearing town could not save Final Offer from itself. It is beautifully written, but the plot fell short for me. The book also beautifully portrays life in a small town and the care and concern the residents have for one another. The bond between cami and cal was a treat to read. From being terrified of the possibility of a child to giving cami the best birthday by taking her to Dreamland they have come a long way. Source – Final Offer By Lauren AsherFinal Offer doesn’t feel like a conclusion to a series. It feels a like a middle book. When the book eventually did conclude, it was underwhelming. However, the romance does shine with outstanding and memorable moments with Cal and Alana. Those moments are sparse and mixed between drawn out events.

Book Three of the interconnected-standalone Dreamland Billionaire series by Tiktok Sensation, Lauren Asher is finally here! Final Offer is a new adult romance featuring the forced proximity, second chance romance, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, and single parent tropes. This is the third and final installment in Lauren Asher’s Dreamland Billionaires trilogy, so if you’re new to this series, you should start with book one, The Fine Print, to avoid spoilers. This would be perfect for fans of romance novels like Twisted Love by Ana Huang, Things We Never Got Over by Lucy Score, Hook, Line, and Sinker by Tessa Bailey, Every Summer After by Carley Fortune, Lizzie Blake’s Best Mistake by Mazey Eddings, and In the Weeds by B.K. Borison. Some themes present in Final Offer include loneliness and isolation, growing up, family, wealth, desire to escape, love and heartbreak, death, mental health, and addiction, but be aware of the following trigger warnings for absentee parents, alcoholism and addiction, and death of a family member (prior to story). Being the heir to his family’s media empire, Declan is the CEO of a major legacy, but his grandfather’s will stipulates that he must marry and have an heir of his own. His assistant Iris then volunteers for the job, and the position seems simple at first; get married and have a baby together. They’re not supposed to fall in love, that is until a passion between them both begins to grow, one that they desperately try to fight off. Will they both end up together finally, is Declan going to continue his family’s legacy, and just what are the terms and conditions?

Cal wants to be out of the town where he could have had the love of his life and being so close to Lana and Cami in the guess house is his own personal form of torture of having what could have been so close but out of reach. And, as Brady Kane would have had it, the house is filled with asbestos causing Lana and Kami to have to live in the guess house with Cal. Cami is beyond thrilled as she and Cal have become best friends over the weeks while Lana is hesitant to be so close to Cal as he is already starting to wear down the walls around her heart. Several comments about this book. Firstly like all Asher's books, it is well written with a lot of detail and of course with much fun, humour and deathly romantic. I enjoy the Dreamland series and this one doesn't disappoint. Thank you to Little Brown Book Group UK and NetGalley for providing me with an e-arc of Final Offer by Lauren Asher in exchange for an honest review.
